Taner (Berk Atan) is a young man from the small Turkish village of Gedelli. With his family, he has a comfortable life.

Taner was a good student before his father died, but he is no longer able to attend Science High School. He becomes the family’s leader at an early age and begins to care for his mother, older sister, and nephews.

Taner, on the other hand, never loses sight of his scientific zeal. With the support of his cousins Veysel (Semih Erturk) and Ramazan, he pursues his goals of becoming an inventor (Cihat Suvarioglu).

Taner had been in love with Dilek, the daughter of the schoolteacher, since they were children. Taner never forgets his childhood sweetheart and hopes to rediscover her someday.

Dilek (Gulsim Ali Ilhan), a geology engineer, comes to Gedekli years later. She’ll be investigating the town’s rock and soil structure over the next five weeks.

Taner intends to win the heart of his childhood sweetheart whenever he runs across Dilek. He understands that it will be difficult because Dilek is a successful engineer while he is unemployed.

Taner has been working on an aeroplane with his relatives Veysel and Ramazan. They make every effort to see that their idea is a success. They spend their free time working on their innovations.

Taner wants to please Dilek by being successful. At the same time, Ramazan desires the attention of Asuman (Hazal Caglar), the mayor’s daughter.

An Anatolian Tale (Gonul Dagi) is a television series about three cousins who, despite all odds, chase their aspirations and attempt the impossible. Will Taner be able to forget or win Dilek’s heart? Is Taner, Ramazan, and Veysel going to be able to fly their plane? Is it possible for Taner, Ramazan, and Taner to become successful inventors?
